Google Fi was originally launched in 2015 it only works on Google-branded devices, such as the Nexus and, later the Pixel line of phones.
But the Google telecommunication services has been adding a number of phones from other companies such as Huawei, Samsung, and Apple. The latest addition in the Google Fi project is Moto G7 which debuted last month ahead of MCW 2019.
At MCW, Google noticed that the Moto G7 is one of the first non-Pixel or Android One devices to feature Digital Wellbeing.
Now that Google is offering when people sign up for its wireless network service, Moto G7 is the newest low-cost Fi phone because Motorola started a new trend of bringing a mid-range phone to everyone.
Moto G7 is the company’s latest wallet-friendly smartphone who features a display of 6.2-inch with a resolution of 2270 x 1080. Talking about the cameras, it got 12 megapixels rear camera, and the front-facing camera is 8 megapixels. There is nothing special in it but pretty expected for a phone this price.
The phone runs on Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 632 processor paired with GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot which further expands the memory and lasts but not the least it includes a headphone jack.
The unlocked Moto G7 is priced at $299 and is also available to pre-order with an estimated shipping date on March 7th. The phone is available in Clear White and Ceramic Black color variants.
Google is offering a $50 discount when you activate Fi, and will be able to take advantage of its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that switches between T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular. Meanwhile, Google is pushing the recommended model like the Moto G6 is now only $99 from $249.
This is presumably a fire sale, while the Android One Moto X4 is just $149. Source: techobserver.net
