Chevrolet has made a life-size replica of the 2019 Silverado pickup completely out of LEGO.

Before you even ask, this is all in partnership with Warner Bros. to advertise the upcoming LEGO Movie sequel, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. But just because this life-size replica of a Silverado pickup is being done to market a new movie doesn’t make it any less cool or worthy of our attention.

After all, it’s made of LEGO. If any toy company can get away with literal murder, it’s LEGO.

It’s not just Chevrolet we have to thank for this beautiful creation. This 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss plastic replica was made by students at Oxford Community School’s FIRST LEGO League as well as yet more students from Detroit’s Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary’s A World in Motion Program. Everything was built by hand by 18 “Master Builders” at LEGO Group’s Model Shop in Enfield, Connecticut.

The first ever true-to-life version of a Chevrolet vehicle made entirely out of LEGO took 2,000 to assemble by hand, with each builder selecting all of 334,544 individual pieces and then painstakingly placing it on the growing build. The Silverado has real working lights and other hand-painted graphic details to make it look like the real thing.

At a distance anyway. Up close it looks a little… blocky.

The model is 6 feet high, 20 feet long, and 8 feet wide–just like a real Silverado. In total, all those bricks amount to 3,307 pounds, but there is a bit of steel frame in there adding to the overall weight. In comparison with a real Silverado, which is around 5,000 lbs, and this LEGO version is practically svelte.

In addition to this lovely Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss, a Silverado High Country will appear in the LEGO Movie sequel at some point. We don’t know when–we just know that Chevy told us to look out for it. Presumably, it’ll be in its miniature form and not life-size like the Trail Boss.
